In this work, a Cr<small><sup>3+<\/sup><\/small>-doped halide perovskite, Cs<small><sub>2<\/sub><\/small>AgInCl<small><sub>6<\/sub><\/small>:Cr<small><sup>3+<\/sup><\/small>, which exhibits broadband near-infrared (NIR) emission is first obtained&nbsp;<em>via<\/em>&nbsp;the traditional high temperature solid-state reaction. A broad emission band ranging from 850 to 1350 nm centered at 1010 nm with a full-width at half-maximum (FWHM) of 180 nm is assigned to the spin-allowed&nbsp;<small><sup>4<\/sup><\/small>T<small><sub>2<\/sub><\/small>&nbsp;\u2192&nbsp;<small><sup>4<\/sup><\/small>A<small><sub>2<\/sub><\/small>&nbsp;transition of octahedrally coordinated Cr<small><sup>3+<\/sup><\/small>&nbsp;ions in a very weak crystal-field environment. The excitation bands centered at 353, 565 and 800 nm can be attributed to the absorption of the Cs<small><sub>2<\/sub><\/small>AgInCl<small><sub>6<\/sub><\/small>&nbsp;host, the Cr<small><sup>3+<\/sup><\/small>&nbsp;d\u2013d transitions of&nbsp;<small><sup>4<\/sup><\/small>A<small><sub>2<\/sub><\/small>&nbsp;\u2192&nbsp;<small><sup>4<\/sup><\/small>T<small><sub>1<\/sub><\/small>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<small><sup>4<\/sup><\/small>A<small><sub>2<\/sub><\/small>&nbsp;\u2192&nbsp;<small><sup>4<\/sup><\/small>T<small><sub>2<\/sub><\/small>, respectively. Upon 760 nm excitation, the photoluminescence quantum yield (PLQY) of Cs<small><sub>2<\/sub><\/small>AgIn<small><sub>0.9<\/sub><\/small>Cl<small><sub>6<\/sub><\/small>:0.1Cr<small><sup>3+<\/sup><\/small>&nbsp;is about \u223c22.03%. Cs<small><sub>2<\/sub><\/small>AgInCl<small><sub>6<\/sub><\/small>:Cr<small><sup>3+<\/sup><\/small>&nbsp;phosphors with such broadband NIR emission have potential in phosphor converted light emitting diodes (pc-LEDs) which have applications in bioimaging and biomonitoring <a href=\"https:\/\/www.east-gonfiabili.it\/e103-scivolo-gonfiabile.html\/e103026-gonfiabili-per-adulti.html\" style=\"color: grey; text-decoration: none;\">gonfiabili adulti<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Inorg.
