Alloys Compd., <\/mark><\/em>2019, 805, 1246-1253.<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/abs\/pii\/S092583881932715X\">https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/abs\/pii\/S092583881932715X<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ars.els-cdn.com\/content\/image\/1-s2.0-S092583881932715X-gr1.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>Stable and high-efficiency narrow-band green phosphor is a key component for wide color gamut&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/topics\/materials-science\/liquid-crystal-display\">liquid crystal display<\/a>&nbsp;(LCD) backlights. In this paper, narrow-band green-emitting Sr<sub>3-3x<\/sub>Si<sub>13<\/sub>Al<sub>3<\/sub>O<sub>2<\/sub>N<sub>21<\/sub>:3xEu<sup>2+<\/sup>&nbsp;(0.001\u202f\u2264\u202fx\u202f\u2264\u202f0.09) (Sr-Sialon:Eu<sup>2+<\/sup>) phosphor with a full-width at half maximum of 66\u202fnm has been successfully synthesized by using the solid-state reaction method. All the samples are the pure phase with Sr<sub>3<\/sub>Si<sub>13<\/sub>Al<sub>3<\/sub>O<sub>2<\/sub>N<sub>21<\/sub>-type structure. Their emission band maximum can be tuned from 495 to 523\u202fnm by increasing Eu<sup>2+<\/sup>&nbsp;content. The compound with x\u202f=\u202f0.03 possesses the highest luminescence intensity with the peak position around 510\u202fnm. Luminescent thermal stability gets better with Eu<sup>2+<\/sup>&nbsp;concentration decreasing. The integrated intensity of the sample with x\u202f=\u202f0.01\u202fat 425\u202fK remains about 80% of the intensity at room temperature. The host referred binding energy (HRBE) and vacuum referred binding energy (VRBE) schemes are constructed to further explain its luminescent thermal quenching mechanism. White light-emitting-diode (<em>w<\/em>-LED) device using optimized Sr<sub>2.91<\/sub>Si<sub>13<\/sub>Al<sub>3<\/sub>O<sub>2<\/sub>N<sub>21<\/sub>:0.09Eu<sup>2+<\/sup>&nbsp;phosphor demonstrates its potential application for LCD backlights.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>J.
