Chem.<\/em> 2019, 58, 8, 5006\u20135012 <a href=\"https:\/\/pubs.acs.org\/doi\/abs\/10.1021\/acs.inorgchem.9b00028\">https:\/\/pubs.acs.org\/doi\/abs\/10.1021\/acs.inorgchem.9b00028<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/pubs.acs.org\/cms\/10.1021\/acs.inorgchem.9b00028\/asset\/images\/medium\/ic-2019-00028m_0009.gif\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>Manipulating the distribution of rare earth activators in multiple cations\u2019 sites of phosphor materials is an essential step to obtain tunable emission for the phosphor-converted white-light-emitting diodes (pc-WLEDs). However, it remains the challenge to realize the photoluminescence tuning in the single-phased phosphor with single activator, due to the uncertain location of doped ions and adjustable crystallographic sites. Herein we reported the \u03b2-Ca<sub>3<\/sub>(PO<sub>4<\/sub>)<sub>2<\/sub>-type solid solution phosphors (Ca<sub>8.98\u2013<em>x<\/em><\/sub>Sr<sub><em>x<\/em><\/sub>)MgK(PO<sub>4<\/sub>)<sub>7<\/sub>:2%Eu<sup>2+<\/sup>&nbsp;(<em>x<\/em>&nbsp;= 0\u20138.98) and the effects of replacing Ca<sup>2+<\/sup>&nbsp;by Sr<sup>2+<\/sup>&nbsp;ions on the phase structures and color-tunable emission were investigated in detail. Tunable color emission has been realized by manipulating the redistribution of Eu<sup>2+<\/sup>&nbsp;ions among different cation sites with adjustable chemical environment, and the related mechanism on the local structures has been discussed. The high&nbsp;<em>R<\/em><sub>a<\/sub>&nbsp;(85) and low color temperature (CCT) (4465 K) values of the as-fabricated WLEDs lamp indicate that (Ca<sub>4.98<\/sub>Sr<sub>4<\/sub>)MgK(PO<sub>4<\/sub>)<sub>7<\/sub>:2%Eu<sup>2+<\/sup>&nbsp;can act as a promising white-emitting phosphor for single-phased pc-WLEDs. This work provides a new insight into the tuning of the compositions and multiple activator sites toward single-phased white emission.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Inorg.
